Pinnacle has better then that:

Smarty to win: 275 to win 100.
Smarty to lose: 100 to win 245.

Is there a way to exploit this difference?

Yes just but 100 to win 350 in Vegas that
and 275 to win 100 at Pinny. Guaranteed 75 bucks. Problem is the low limits will keep you from betting too much.

Okay I'm a moron and don't feel like doing the math. That will only guarantee a profit if Smarty loses. So bet like 310 on Smarty to win and your guaranteed 30 of 40 bucks.

Pinnacle - 275 to win 100 on Smarty

Pinnacle - 275 to win 100 on Smarty
Vegas - 100 to win 350 against Smarty

It doesn't seem possible to make the bet both ways and return a profit. In fact, the best you can do is bet:

Pinnacle - 275 to win 100 on Smarty
Vegas - 100 to win 350 against Smarty

then hope that Smarty loses the race and you only lose $25.

I'm half asleep but that doesn't make any sense. Use combo three.

Bet 330 to win 120 (-275) if Smarty Jones wins Belmont (pinny)
Bet 100 to win 350 if (+350) Smarty Jones Loses Belmont (vegas)

If Smarty Jones wins Belmont you lose the 100 in Vegas but win 120 dollars from Pinnacle. Net Profit +20

If Smarty Jones loses Belmont you lose the 330 at Pinnacle
but win 350 dollars in Vegas. Net Proft +20

So at the time (Line's have moved) you could have bet 2750 at Pinnacle to pay 1000 (that's their max) and bet and bet 833.33 in vegas at +350 to pay 2916.66 for a guaranteed profit of 166.66

Don't find 75 cents scalps very often.

Don't believe everything you hear, even from a friend. I will give you -500 on the NO; +400 on the YES; for the question, Will you find a -400/+350 Moneyline in Vegas for SJ winning/not winning the TC. Most books will have +320 for a -400l some will have +300, but I've never seen a book offer +350 on a -400 Moneyline bet, on any sport!

You play $825 to win in Vegas and $250 to lose at Pinnacle

If he wins, you get back $300 minus your $250 loss = +$50

If he loses, you get back $875 minus your $825 loss = +$50

Vig is already in. Hence in vegas its -400 and +350. Book has 50 cents vig built in.
