I can't remember a horse of that stature being available to the public so short before a big race. Usually they hide them and work them out at 4:30am.

I know a ton of really good horses who work normal times and it's open to the public. I guess if you mean TC winner stature, then there's not much to compare him to.

BB was on the track working in the early morning two days before the race in 2008 prepping for the Haskell the workout was open to the public. And if anyone cares the tracks attendance that day was 45000 while in 2003 the Haskell drew 53000.

They're making a big deal about the works being open to the public, but they're always open to the public. Every time I go down there in the mornings I just drive (or ride) right in and walk in the Grandstand train gate. Nobody stops you.

Parx opened up the gates very early the Saturday before Smarty Jones
Belmont . This was pre casino , Philadelphia Park
I was there. I got Keith Jones to autograph my DRF
They estimate about 5000 people went to the workout
What a fun few weeks that was for me

Was Funnycide in that race? Brought in 8000 by bus for the race?

Yes Peace Rules beat him he was third that day.
