Pocono/Northfield daily handle

I was looking at the different harness tracks and their daily handle. I get Meadowlands, Yonkers, Harrahs Philadelphia, Woodbine/Mohawk, Balmoral/Maywood having the biggest handle since they are all in major cities. What I don't understand is why Pocono has such small handle. Some of their tris and supers dont' even crack 3000 or 2000 for a race. Their purses are decent enough. Then you get to Northfield and they have smaller purses than Pocono and their handle is huge.

What is the appeal to Northfield and not Pocono?

My guess is because the takeout is much higher at Pocono.

A guy who plays at the casino I work at is from Cleveland where northfield is told me it's because there signal is all over the place

If you think about it have you ever seen a simulcast outlet that doesn't have northfield?

That may be most of it Will...I don't think that it is the WPS%'s so much, but I do know that the exotics have very unrealistic and ridiculous takeouts...

I will never play their exotics, unless I know I can get a big popper to help make up for the gouge...
