Monday Through Wednesday, then Saturday and Sunday seems like a weird schedule.

On Mondays and Tuesdays, Mountaineer is the only thoroughbred track running at night. That's a smart business move, in my opinion.

i wish they ran 24 hours a day 365 days a year. because if they did i would never have to worry about another thing the rest of my life.
but i'm not being greedy, i am happy to have this schedule.

It doesn't seem so weird if you say it Saturday through
Wednesday.

But say this in Mountaineer's favor: With a 7-furlong turf course, they actually run 7-furlong turf races.
Why Aqueduct doesn't run at least 7 1/2-furlong turf races is something I have never been able to fathom. 5-furlong turf races also: If 5-furlong turf races aren't too "Mickey Mouse" for the Breeders' Cup, then they aren't too "Mickey Mouse" for $25,000 state-bred maiden claimers.
