NfldPace InnerPosts Only
Top Rank Class Wins 0.40 ROI 0.93
ONLY races in which the top ranked class entry is going off at LESS than 3/1.

That is a "clean" ROI, no outliers, truncated to 1.5 times the mean of the interquartile range. Results should be better than predictions. Now you know almost as much about Northfield as those darn whales, with their incessant splashing and cavorting about.

In case you (erroneously) believe the Northfield scenario is a fluke (that is a whale joke--it has been a long day) consider the same scenario at Buffalo:

BRTrot Top Ranked Class
Wins 0.38
ROI 1.09

ONLY races in which the top ranked class entry is going off at LESS than 3/1.
Inner posts only--nothing further out than 5.

What do you mean by inner posts, up to post #3?

I don't bet harness racing, but I like to watch.
At Northfield #9 begins behind #1, is #9 an inner post?

Thanks

PP 1 through 5 are "inner."

Not so. This is specific to Buffalo.
