Good article, that I agree with...

But, given all that, this is what America by and large wants, so this is what America gets. We apparently like being told what to do, better than deciding for ourselves what is the proper course of action.

To paraphrase TJDave (as he himself quotes from Joseph de Maistre), "Every nation gets the government it deserves."

Excellent article, the pace of change is only going to accelerate and who knows where we will end up (really how far we will fall).

I don't always agree with him but he hit a home run on this.

The idea of Supreme Court depends ultimately on finding 9 honest, unbiased people. That rarely happens. The court is not good the freedoms of this country when it can be used as a "Spear of Destiny" by one party, as is has more than once. We need checks and balances on the court that will not take years to implement - 9 biased political hacks, unaccountable, doesn't cut it.
