Picks for Belmont Monday:
R1 - #1 Tonic Nights-Doubt that he will be 5/1. Loves the 7f distance and his last race was legit. New trainer is a question mark, but I'm willing to overlook that for the right price.
R2 - #7 Pure Satisfaction-Had eventful trips in big fields in FLA. Added distance can't hurt, should be a good price.
R3 - #2 Erase-Fought on when trying to close on a slow pace last time. Has his hands full with the Bailey chalk, but the favorite has a couple of kinks in his armor. 3/1 means a play here.
R4 - #5 Sir Tyler-Last try at this distance was good. Willing to give him one more shot in mcl if the price is good. 9/2 or better will do it.
R5 - #4 Risky Cat-Taking a shot here. This runner has won on the turf before. Third start off a layoff, new jock, and new surface. Long odds expected.
R6 - #1 Main Stream-Drops into claimers for the first time. Gets an honest pace to shoot at here.
R7 - #6 Lite the Point-Will get the pace he needs to set up his late run. In his only other start against claimers he just missed with a troubled trip.
R8 - #7 Swinging Ghost-Has yet to run a bad one, bred for the trip.
R9 - #8 Pico Central-Has proven he is the real deal. Solis comes along for the ride.
R10 - #7 Rhonda’s Number-Ran decent in while wide in a big field last time. Gets blinkers and more distance, Prado stays.
