in today's 3rd race open event, the #5 horse is assigned. is he right in the 5th position or does he make his start further out like what they do in Cal Expo?

Century Downs is just north of Calgary, Alberta - they hope to have T-Breds next year as well, likely in a circuit with Northlands

Might be on my visit list in 2016 if they do run thoroughbreds then. :)
On the flip side, not very good news for the interior tracks from what I have heard. Any others bits of info HuggingTheRail? I know the volunteer group at Sunflower Downs (who would organize/promote the races) disbanded. Kamloops has not had much interest in relocating this their races to another site. Kin Park had that arson fire that destroyed the wooden portion of the grandstands, and of course the city wants the racing gone/moved. I think Desert Park seems to have the only interest in running races, albeit 1 or perhaps 2 days a year. Another other inside info would be greatly appreciated.
Too bad, since I thought several years ago there was hope and a plan that the local governments were going to contribute a significant amount of money (as part of a 5-year plan) to revitalize racing at the interior tracks.
At least I have been able to visit all those tracks, except for Kamloops, which IMO is extremely unlikely to ever race again.
BTW I can watch Century Downs (Harness races) on my Dish RTN package. :)

I sent a message to Century Downs and asked them why can't they show WPS pools on the TV monitors, said they would look into it. They have no toteboard at the track. There sound system struggles at times. Handle has been brutal, $20 WPS and you will be known as "JOE POOL". :D Its a racino, and a pretty sad version at that. Can't imagine what the T-Bred people will think, providing it survives long enough for them to see in 2016.

One side note, their WIN 4 was carried over today. Next card is on Friday night and their handle/attendance on Friday's is brutal, probably due to the 5:30pm start. Definitely worth a shot for the harness handicapper.
