Look at those purses. I am very curious to see how this goes.

I love KD. There is absolutely no other place like it in the states. Picture someone's mansion with a racetrack in the backyard.

Just hope the signal is watchable this year. Between bad camera angles and sun glare it was really rough to figure out who was who last year.

They are not set-up for any good camera angles, and that long stretch makes it worse. Those scissor lifts only go so high...

Well, maybe they have bad slots allocation laws or something because they could probably build a couple camera towers for a whole lot less than the 600K they are giving away for a Gr3 race because what they had last year looked like a guy with a cam-corder on a ladder.

How about the $130,000 allowance races and $120,000 MSWs....

Yeah, I'm fine with them being a bit, um, "unique" with their angles but if they're going to be throwing around that kind of money, bettors should at least expect professionalism.

I watched a few race replays. Yep...See what everybody means. Camera work is not steady. Pic quality is off. Angles don't catch good view of field as they enter the far turn.....
As for the sun...There's nothing that can be done unless they move I-65 and build a grandstand on the west side of the course

Google maps says it just 440 miles from my location. Heck I may have to run out there. 6 hours....A mere country jaunt...

Funny, I will be there tomorrow cashing a ticket I got on my way back home from opening day Churchill. Gave me an excuse to head back to CD tomorrow for another great night card. Only a short 400 mile drive for me as well.
Kentucky Downs is a great experience for live racing. anyone within 500 miles need to take a trip there. Just make sure rain is not in the forecast, They will cancel. No dirt track

Heard they upgraded from cam-corder on a ladder to iPhone 6 on a fork lift :D

I'd certainly love to go there for a day. I think it is a really neat track, which is probably why I'm so disappointed in the product they present on TV. BTW they could beat the glare by repositioning cameras.
