How much?

JOCKEY STANDARD FEE IS 10% OF THE PURSE AWARDED TO
THE OWNER(S).

fOR WIN CHECK THE VALUE OF THE TOTAL PURSE , THEN TAKE
60% OF THE PURSE. The Belmont purse was 1,500,00, winner's share
would typically be 900,000; the win value, however, in the Belmont
was 800,000.

Espinoza's fee is, therefore 10% of 800k, or 80,000

Uncertain if his fees for Derby and Preakness are also being donated
and/or if Zayat gave Victor a bonus for his services.

regardless, this was really an eye opener..

I just caught the tail end of an interview with Victor on the Charlie Rose show on PBS. Well spoken and clear on what he feels and does in a race. I am going to try to find a replay of the interview on PBS or on You Tube and watch the whole thing.
