Japan and Hong Kong - Sat Night - 5/30

Been traveling and haven't played much lately, but did reel in a couple of nice winners in Japan on Preakness Day, before fading out. Will play the cards from Tokyo Racecourse and Sha Tin this evening - plenty of full fields, and some decent racing.

Race 1: Japan - Maiden, about 1 mile on the dusty dirt.

Gonna make a small play on the :4: dog, coming off longer on the turf and not yet proven to be a waste of feed. Plenty of firsters in here makes it a bit of a crap shoot.

The early races on the card with no announcer reminds me a bit of the old days at Keeneland......

Long run up on the grass before cutting over to the dirt surface. Winner came from off the pace, nicely surging at the end while the :4: couldn't go with him. :1: horse now has four seconds in eight starts.

Total crap shoot - can't pass though, 'cause it's on TV. Small play on the :5: cutting back, as the surface seems tiring.

Gonna play the :9: who looks to be warming up okay. If the :3: wins again, it will be with the rather unsettling name of "Trust Lucifer".....

Nice pick with the :15: Tri. The program man had the :3: . I liked the :7: more than the other picks in the first three races, and it doesn't get a sniff - well back. :(
