Preakness

Just as the Derby was so hard to handicap, the Preakness is too easy (if there is such a thing in racing) because American Pharaoh is so superior, as are Firing Line and Dortmund to the rest of the field, that the payoffs on Win, Exacta and Trifecta bets will not be worth the risk unless one singles AP on top of these 2. When one considers APs great win in the Derby despite his wide trip, and the fact that Derby winners do very well in the Preakness betting against him is insanity

Black-Eyed Susan

Danessa Deluxe has the Speed and Class figure advantage over the favorite, Luminance, though the latter did earn her figures while setting a faster pace according to Brisnet. I'm thinking of playing these 2 fillies combined with AP in the Black-Eyed Susan Double.

P.S. While emotionally I hate to cheer for Baffert or Espinoza I'm also a big fan of AP and with me the horse comes first.
