(I was making this post to try to show you guys pics but it says they are too big. If anyone wants to help out by resizing them let me know)
Has anyone had a tour of Lanes End or any other Kentucky Farm? These animals are so awesome in person. They took me out in a car and I got to feed Zenyatta and spend some time taking pics.
They then took me into the stallion barn and got to see Union Rags, A.P Indy (still kicking at 26), Curlin, Noble Mission (looked the best), Candy Ride, Mineshaft, and Quality Road. It was sad to see an empty Smart Strike stable. They said they lost him a couple days ago due to bad feet.
It was so cool to see these guys!

Nice! How where you able to set that tour up? I thought that Zenyatta was not available to anyone, unless for a promotion of some type.

If you are on a pc easiest way is to open them in Paint and you can shrink them proportionally with the resize function.

I would love to visit a farm or two this summer. I've done the KY Bourbon trail a few times, and always plan to visit the farms "next time". Any tips for selecting a farm or getting best access would be appreciated in this thread. Thanks for posting, and I hope to see the pictures.

One suggestion id make is check and see when a farm has an open house. These are typically done around the sales and breeding season. They really roll out the red carpet.
On a somewhat related, but sad note, local news reporting some scum bags broke into Old Friends offices this past week. Stole money and electronics. Lots of help from the community though, including..Lanes End.
Mr Blowen said that a gentleman stopped him at Pimlico yesterday and gave him $300.

I didn't see a reference to it on their website today but (at least at one time) Winstar (a short drive from KEE) had a short tour.

Hi I'm going to have someone help me upload the pics. I got lucky. I'm working on a project where I Had to travel to Kentucky. I asked them nicely if I could come see Zenyatta and they were nice enough to allow me to do it!

I was lucky enough to get a tour of Lanes End in April of 2000 while I was in Lexington for a long weekend to watch races at Keeneland. At that point in time the big attraction was Charismatic who had won the first two legs of the Triple Crown in 1999 and also been named Horse of The Year as well. But I was more excited to get up close and personal to one of my all time favorite horses, A.P. Indy. What a beautiful horse he still was at age eleven.

If you boys ever do come, do the bourbon trail as well...you won't remember it, but you'll have a blast!

I thought I was lucky to have toured Claiborne Farms and got up close to Pulpit, Monarchos and Strike The Gold.
What an experience that must have been for you
My greatest thrill was at the Kentucky Horse Park where I saw DaHoss, Cigar, and the man; John Henry.

I don't have access to a laptop/desktop. If someone wants to help getting the pics on here please PM me. Someone emailed me that they'd help but my email came back undeliverable
