Presuming the prediction of rain for Maryland is correct,
AP , breaking from post 1 should certainly be the dominating
and/or controlling pace factor in this race.

I'm blinking on all the hype based upon the defections to this
race since the Ky Derby.

For those interested in Baffert's opinion of AP, read the latest
Blood Horse issue, which should give you a real insight into this
talented/ freakish star.

We all know this game has various dimensions including the stress
of races leading to the Triple Crown, and the races within the
Triple Crown.

That said, I have to respect the trainer, and his judgment to
run Dortmund in this race to be fair to his other "power"
owner.

In my opinion, Mr. B has already made his statement that AP
will win this race,

Not chocked about the price, more interested in witnessing
this exciting horse win the Triple Crown.

I wouldn't say that. There is a chance (30-40%) for afternoon/evening showers and thundershowers. Wouldn't call that a prediction for rain. Just a typical summery day. Certainly could rain, but no horse is going to be scratched in the morning based on the forecast.

I agree. Isolated t'storms means a 1 in 3 chance of actual rain. It may be sunny, it could be pouring. But I hardly think that AP wants rain, IMO if the surface is sloppy or muddy it favors Dortmund if he gets out there again. Like its some noble gesture that Baffert is running Dortmund. The horse just finished third in the Derby and his owner is a power owner.......who is the boss in that situation?
