What kind of chart are you talking about? Are you looking for something like the pace calculator?

Australian racing site Formpppppro.com claims to have some sort of free par charts; also good articles on pace and speed.

Thanks for the replies,folks.

The chart I was referring to is in Nick Borg's book, "Off the Charts".

The chart allows you to plot a graph to get a quick idea if the pace of a race was picking up or slowing down as the distance increased.

Ex: :23 :46 1:10 1:35 1:47 (1 1/8 m)

Fractions 23 * 23 * 24 * 25 * 12

------------------------------------------------ 1:47
-------------------------------- 1:35
1:10
46
23

The pace stayed even for the first 6f. and then picked up even though the fractions slowed down.

It's hard to visualize without an actual graph but it is easy to follow in the book.

I got the book on an interlibrary loan and photocopied the chart. Very nice one.
