Just read the DRF book picked up a few but realized the book is from 2004. Are their any more recent hidden turf sires that are productive. Or any recent freshman sires that one should watch out for.

Thanks

Not a secret, especially lately - Anything with ARCH or ARCHARCHARCH blood.

I was going to say Archarcharch. I don't think he ever raced on grass. I remember he was injured either right before or after the KY Derby.

Any sire by Tiznow.

And trained by Marty Jones. He knows how to handle Tiz's grandkids.

Interesting re: Congrats and Sky Mesa. I would've never thought of those two as turf sires.

There are no hidden turf sires anymore.
Everyone has the stats....I do like Speightstown though :)

Smarty Jones has not thrown a horse anywhere nearly as good as he was but if you see one on the turf 1st or 2nd time, give the horse a strong look. I have made a few bucks over the years with the Smartys, as I have with Sky Mesa, Speightstown and Holy Bull, all mentioned earlier.
