From a "private clocker"...( I am not sure if it is good etiquette or legal to mention his name, so I won't)

Sunday, April 26
American Pharoah(5F in 58.40 – splits 11.40, 23.00, 34.60
and galloped out 6F in 1:11.80)
Notes:Went smooth as silk from the time he was turned
loose from the pony entering the backstretch. I have been
fortunate enough to have timed many fast horses over
the last 35 years I have held a stopwatch. This horse does
things like very few horses I’ve ever seen. Anything can
happen in a horse race, particularly one with 20 horses
conducted in front of 120,000 people, but if this horse
runs like he has been and how he worked today, he will
win the Derby. He is like Michael Jordan in his younger
days. He simply stays in the air longer than the other
horses.

He also said, about Dortmund, very much liked his jog on 4/27 and his wkt on 4/28...Said he looked awesome at both...
