Not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but it seems as though Churchill Downs had some sort of tote issues tonight.
Before race #11 at CD tonight, the signal was showing a $.20 Pick 6 will pay for the eventual winner, # :2: , of $5,698, but from what I can see, the track only offers a $2 Pick 6, and it appears that there was only $9,745 in the Pick 6 pool. The actual payouts showed that 5 of 6 paid $49.20 with a $5,173 carryover.
Additionally, the will pay for the eventual winner on the new $.10 Lucky 7 jackpot bet was $948 from what I can see on TwinSpires, but the actual payout was $663.60 and a $1991 carryover.
There weren't any late scratches in the 11th race that would have changed the diversity in the pools. It also took the race a good amount of time to go official after the race(I'm assuming because of some tote issues).
The whole thing just seemed a bit odd.
