Not usually one to start a conspiracy theory thread but, what the hell, why not.

I thought I saw the odds on WICKED STRONG go from 1/4 to 3/5 in the last few flashes, while the winner's odds (EFFINEX) came down from 8/1 to 6/1. I wonder if there were any late cancellations on the fave?

You know, to me, being able to CANCEL near or (who knows) even AFTER the bell is just as bad as the traditional form of past posting involving plunging ON the winner after the race is in progress.

I saw this also, 2/5 before the load then after 3/5 as the loser

If horse won no shot he would have been 3/5

Looked like the winner was always 6-1, i dont remember seeing him at 8-1 but i could be wrong.

I saw the fave at 1-2 at the load.

I think this was an example of natural adjustment, the fave at 1-2 was just a bad price, bettors couldn't take him at those odds, so there was slight upward adjustment, what i'm surprised at is the winner didn't go to 4-1, usually that is what happens to horses who win.

But whats more telling?

From the announcer before the start of the race, "Wicked Strong is 3/5 as he moves into the gate"

I agree with SRU. The second favorite often takes a lot of wagers when the favorite is bet down like that. However, it looked like there was a ton of money on "anyone else but" the favorite. Here is the movement of the last five minutes or so. They are decimal odds, so 1.6 is 3/5, 10 is 9/1, 11 is 10/1 etc.
