Props to TwinSpires - Free Derby Tickets

I made a post last week about being one of the final 12 left in the Twin Spires Showdown, some great advice in that thread guys, thanks.....although still waiting on the draws to make my final pick and I'll be sweating like crazy until derby day.

I am really living the gamblers dream right now, I'm not a professional handicapper, and most of you are smarter than me when it comes to betting the ponies! I'm just a regular guy who loves to bet horses come this time of year.

But anyways, I was contacted by the guys at TwinSpires and comped 3 tickets to come to the derby and watch the race live. Unbelievable, I felt the need to come here, post, and give them the props that are due. Class act right there. I'm going to the Derby and marking one box off the bucket list, not to mention with a chance for a six figure score! :ThmbUp:

Good luck man. Not sure when you plan on going to Louisville but I recommend going on Friday for the Oaks if you can, you will get a good feel for what Derby day will be like.

The Derby is a great experience and hope your selection comes through. Good luck and make sure you have fun.

I checked results and looks like 10 of the 12 had American Pharoah or Dortman - congrats for the 100K


They had many promotions for the Derby - I won 55K points for betting Firing Line as biggest bet down from Pool 2 to race - not sure what that is worth...

I did win, $100k

That was a sweat to say the least however coming down the stretch with Dortmund as my pick.

Big props to TwinSpires too. When I got there they came and found me in the grandstands and took me into the owners boxes, the paddock, and even got to get a picture in the winners circle after race 9 followed by a champagne toast in the Directors Room.

This turned out to be my view of the finish line for the Derby, not a bad place to be. One of the most exciting days of my life.
