In the Summer of 75..... I had a midnight shift job making Thermos bottles on a factory assembly line until i went back to college. Seems even to this day like it was the longest three months of my life. It was a very hot-- mundane {actually rather dangerous} job in the glass factory. I sang that song word-for-word about ten times a night..... because it was the longest song I knew which helped me try to pass the boring time. The rotating neck sealing machines around me were so loud nobody ever heard me sing out "the day the music died....."
