Ridglings can still breed for example AP Indy.

I'm assuming its much less successful and uncomfortable to breed a Ridgling? I wasn't aware you could breed to one. Then why did they geld Funny Cide?

Honestly, I am way out of my league on this issue.

My basic understanding is that the condition can cause discomfort (based on location of the testicle) and impact how well they race. This leads to them being gelded in most cases. Alternatively, I guess there is also a surgery that can preserve stud ability and improve comfort. Not sure why they didn't take that approach with Funny Cide; I believe Honor Code had such a surgery.

betting odds just dropped from 15-1 to 9-1..
