Toughie to start the card. Gonna key the :4: dog, getting a nice jockey switch and looking quite good on the track. Some saver QPs with the :2: :9: :11: :12: :13:

Good luck to those playing tonight!

Whew. Didn't have much of a handle in the first. Got a reprieve by getting side-tracked and then shut out....

Race 3: Class 4, 1200 meters on the turf -

Gonna take the tilt horse here, :5: Atomic Blast. Tote says he wins for fun. Playing a cheap tri:

:5: with :1: :4: with :1: :3: :4: :9: :11:

If the :5: doesn't fire, the totel lights up.

Bonus selection: Race 10 in Japan - I think the morning line guy has the winner here with the :11: mule....

Race 3 results: :3: :1: :4: :12:

Nice pick Husker - 20-1!. I done got suckered on the :5: . I did reel in the :11: in Japan at a paltry 8/5....

Race 4 results: :1: :11: :2: :6:

Chalk wins, :12: was stuck behind him on the rail and couldn't get a clear run, though he didn't really run like a winner anyway.

Bonus selection: Race 11, Japan - 2000 guineas - 1 1/4 miles on turf.

Taking :2: with saver exactas with :5: :7: :8:

(Japan) Race 11 results: :2: :5: :7: :1:

The deuce crushes at 9/2. Need to change venues and stick with the racing from Japan.... :)

Race 5: Class 2, 2200 meters (1 3/8 miles) on the turf

Tough race on paper, with few of the horses having run at the distance. So, I'll take the horse that ran and won at this distance a week ago, the :13: , and hope he handles the class hike. Saver QP with the :6: .

Race 5 results: :2: :13: :4: :3:

May need to stop posting my picks, as the odds plunged on the :13: from 12-1 to just under 6-1 with the late betting. Couldn't quite wear down the winner, who also got some late money.

Bonus selection - race 12 from Japan. 1 mile on the turf, stakes.

Taking the :10: dog, since the horse is currently 35-1 and finished 3rd in this race last year....

Japan - race 12 results. :9: :7: :2: :10:

Ugh, my 36-1 shot beat out by a 73-1 shot for third. Chalk at 3/5 wins in late surge.

Race 6: Class 4, 1650 meters (8 1/4 furlongs, 1 1/32 miles) All weather

Taking the :4: here.

Race 6 results: :12: :6: :4: :11:

Winner at a juicy 40-1, second place horse at 17-1, and my pick the :4: dog drifted up to 6-1 at the post. :4: got to the lead mid-stretch and couldn't quite hold it....

Race 7, class 3, 1000 meters (5 furlongs) on the turf.

Tote is going tilt-crazy on the :9: Divine Boy, who drew plenty of action in his first start on 4/7. Gets a similar low percentage jockey, but one who is a 10 lb apprentice. Also gets the coveted outside rail post.

So, will play :9: each way, with :6: :11: QP savers.

Parkview_Pirate

Race 7 results: :11: :1: :2: :8:

Winner surged up the outside rail late at 6-1. The :9: had no early foot, and no late foot, a bad combination for a 5 furlong race..... :(

Parkview_Pirate

Race 8: Class 3, 1200 meters on the all weather surface

Gonna play :8: Super Man each way, with a mild z pattern and switch to the plastic at 10-1.

I do NOT like the heavy chalk, the :4: Yee Cheong Star, at even money. The horse won easy last time out after a long layoff, and looks a bit stiff walking around out on the track. He probably wins by five.....

Parkview_Pirate

Race 8 results: :2: :7: :5: :6:

Liked the winner a bit, but didn't bother with gimmicks thinking the heavy chalk would run out - which he did. According to the announcer, the :4: broke down after the wire, after finishing 5th. My :8: was mid-pack and finished evenly.

Smelling a longshot here.

Race 10: Class 3, 1400 meters on the turf.

Get out race. If not for the racing from Japan tonight, I'd be in tears. Gonna play the :1: , with saver QPs with the :4: :11: :14:

A chalky ending to a tough night. Should have known after the first race it was going to be an uphill struggle....
