What do you mean "Singles in the Doubles"?

Why is it 3 tickets and 12 tickets?
Can you explain this?

Sure Ed
"Singles in Doubles" sounds like a Country Western Hit song, I know :)

but what I meant is I'm using my 2 picks in the Group Exacta Run as Single Picks in the Double pools for Race 4 and 6.

I'm used to an early and late Daily Double, but a Running Double is new to me.

So my first bet is Race 1 ....Daily Double (as usual) 1 with 356

The bet in the 2nd race is Double Race2-Race3, ...3,5,6/2,4,5,7 or 12 tickets.

and so forth down the list....

Best of luck and thanks for playing along in the Group Exactas...

Maybe it's my using the word "TICKETS" for combinations that's throwing people. :)

I grew up in an time when you could not buy a $3 Win ticket. Only 2's and 5's and higher.
If you wanted to bet $4 to Win, you had to buy two $2's.
You needed a friend to go in with you on three $2's and split it if you wanted to bet $3.

In those days If you wanted to play Daily Double 5,6 with the 1,9 you had to buy 4 tickets.

That's why I call the combos ..."Tickets".
