Only looked at the first 5 races tomorrow so far. Not looking real competitive. If the 6th and 9th are switched to the main track - Good Night.

As do I. That new draining system is getting a real test.

Is cancelling possible?

I mean, it is opening day and all, with a lot of money on the line and I can't remember the last time (if ever) that Keeneland has cancelled a card.

They might cancel if there is lightning. I Was there when Wise Dan lost to Silver Max (one of Romans horses); regardless there was a delay due to lightning.

If they didn't cancel that day, I doubt they cancel today. Those were monsoon like conditions. Its the only time I've ever seen a couple inches of standing water on a Polytrack surface.

A lot of the roads near Keeneland are flooded already. Bowman's Mill and Military, as well as Parker's Mill directly behind the airport. Alexandria and Old Frankfort too.

Don't recall them ever canceling a card either Husker, and honestly, I don't see it happening today. Just won't be much to bet on. Scratch City.

Obliged, Grits. Made it downtown without issue.

Me hate scratches.

What am I saying, I can't be angry. For crap's sake, Keeneland is running LIVE today!:jump: (Or at the very least tomorrow. ;))

It's College Scholarship day today at Keeneland. Despite the weather the place will be packed with drunken Frat Rats and sorority girls.
I think I will just bet from home.

Scratches are up at Keeneland. Six runners out of the G3, Transylvania. More scratches in (race 6) off-turf.

I got no problem with sorority girls. Watching is all I'd be doing anyway for first 5 running days, maybe more with off tracks thrown in.

Never noticed much ill behavior from the college crowd and certainly don't mind looking at the sorority girls dressed in their finest. :)

Friday was a mess..5.5 hour trip took like 8.5 from pgh. Roads out..accidents awful conditions. Hit the track around race 5 and they cancelled like 2 races later. I couldn't believe they even brought the horses on the track...was lightning all over the place before they cancelled. Everyone was getting sever weather alerts on there phone. Staff moved us all inside then all to the 1st floor. Was pretty crazy. Was concerned about my car being stuck on the hill but I made it and they had tractors pulling stuck cars out.

Saturday was great and whatever drainage system they put in is amazing 5.5 inches if rain and by midday they were watering it on Saturday. Amazing to have it that well after a biblical rain. Even with the adversity keeneland is a class act. I took my mother for the first time and she was impressed with the operation. She wants to bring her husband next year. I'll be there again the the fall and BC. Can't get enough of keeneland

Very good meet. Even with quite a bit of rain, they were able to keep most scheduled grass races on the grass. This bides well for upcoming BC.

The drainage on the dirt track is state of the art. Still can't believe how nice the track looked after getting 5plus inches less the 24 hours before the bluegrass
