Can One Lucky Dane earn Derby points Saturday and crash the party?

Is Baffert working his charges together or separately?

Definitely would be considered the fresh horse while everyone else has been grinding out the traditional preps.

Very nice races

short field, but still probably needs to get 2nd and 40 points to make Derby

6-1 or better sounds good.

I think he'll be overbet...he is a Baffert horse but without the credentials of Dortmund.

It will be interesting to see if Baffert wants Dortmund to break for the lead with One Lucky Dane and run with him or let One Lucky Dane get the lead and rate off of him. Dortmund will need to gun it in the Kentucky Derby to avoid getting caught up in traffic rounding the first turn with his big body-Baffert doesn't want him to get bounced around. The Santa Anita Derby could set up nicely for Bolo if the Baffert horses tire each other out. His first dirt attempt was impressive.

One Lucky Dane ran a great race today to fend off some good horses. He will be heading to Louisville and adds to Baffert's strong hand there.
