Harry Reid says that he will not run for reelection next year. Reid told a NY Times reporter “I want to be able to go out at the top of my game”

A little late for that Harry. Missed it by about a decade or two. :D

When he was at the top of his game, he could look and see George Bush's butt!

Wassup, Harry, tired of ruining the nation?
Being the Bastard of NO getting to hard for you?

On a personal note, I hope your retirement is miserable and finds you in poor health and loss of mental facilities.

Not that there is much to lose to begin with, your stinking bastard!

One political writer's fond memories of Harry at the top of his game.

By any objective measure, Reid has been a blight on the Senate and on Congress. He declared the Iraq war “lost” while Americans were still fighting there, and he derailed a budget process that had worked well before his ascent into leadership. He stripped the Senate of one of its debate functions after sabotaging the amendment process, and nearly destroyed regular order. On top of that, Reid used his post to commit McCarthyite character assassination of Mitt Romney, claiming to have inside knowledge that Romney hadn’t paid taxes in ten years, a smear that turned out to be utterly false. He has been a malevolent force for years in American politics, and nothing he did in Washington will improve the place as much as his leaving it.

Goodbye, Harry, and good riddance.

He was a liar, a thief, a cheat, and he never put AMerica ahead of himself or his personal interests. The scumbag belongs in prison, or better, facing a firing squad.

This is the bottom feeding filth we need to find and run out of the country.

I am happy for Harry, and hope he can have a nice retirement on his accumulated $7 million from government service. It is too bad about his eye, but I will always wonder if it was a beatdown. Now he can devote all of his time to do whatever - I am not sure if he will be able to get much done, as he seems to have troubles making decisions on what to do next - or at least he did when he had a couple hundred bills on his desk from the house.

Harry Reid is either an honorable man or he is not. Those of us that consider that to be important don't grade on a curve. What Boehner and McConnell are or aren't doesn't change the fact that Reid is a political hack and a cheap whore.

I have no use for either party. McConnell is a hack. I think that Boehner is limited as a leader, but he is honorable to his core beliefs.

Very interesting. So John Boehner the fellow "affectionately" known on the beltway as "tollbooth John" "bag-man John" and "K-street John" is actually an honorable man. My goodness I have been mislead.I have seen multiple reports from right and left sources chronicling his greed corruption and abject servility to finance capital.Clearly these attempts to besmirch his character result from this paragon of virtue's steadfast adherence to his core values.

Are you keeping score? Squeaky wheels get the grease. Obama is the squeakiest of them all. I have already gotten grief here for saying that Cruz and Carson are unelectable, and have stated a number of times that Bush was a failed president. Am I required to post an equal number of posts about each side to show that I have no love lost for either side?

No...I am not "keeping score"; there is no need to keep score when it comes to your posting history here. I am just saying that your claim of being fair and unbiased is certainly one of the most laughable declarations that I've ever seen made on this board.

I don't claim to be unbiased. No one is. I claim to be nonpartisan. I don't think either side has the answers. I also claim to be objective about government policy based on results. My belief is that small government and minimal regulation is best for the country. If you want to call that a bias, I don't care. I think it is based on objective evidence.

I remember submitting a post while Bush was still president...where I called him an embarrassment to every citizen of this country...and you attacked me by calling me an even bigger embarrassment to this board. So...according to you...it is inappropriate for us to EVER criticize Bush, right? If we criticized him then, we were an "embarrassment"...and if we criticize him now, we are just whining, and defending the embarrassing democrats now in charge.

So, according to you...WHEN is it ever safe for us to criticize a horrible republican president?

Whether true or false, that is a terrible story to come out about an AA Meeting.
It will discourage AA attenders from going to meetings.
Who can trust anyone anywhere nowadays with so many people carrying around gadgets that record conversations or videos anytime?
If you can't trust an AA meeting, who can you trust?
