Spotted them on twitter....both sources said that amwest entertainment
had issued them for free.

They're pretty basic Equibase PPs, but better than nothing.

Hope people find a winner, or two!

If the TFUS figures are predictive for World Cup day, California Chrome, Lea, Main Sequence, Salutos Amigos, and Mshawish (who will all be a little over bet) are all off the board. Secret Circle looks to have a good chance.

Looking like there could be a fair bit of early pace especially with the connections of Candy Boy saying they also want to go forward. With that I'm like :1: Prince Bishop to close on them late.

kevb - I'm guessing that you have already looked at the TFUS figures and was wondering, before I purchase them, do they have numbers for all the runners or are there many missing due to foreign horses running with limited info available?

kevb - I'm guessing that you have already looked at the TFUS figures and was wondering, before I purchase them, do they have numbers for all the runners or are there many missing due to foreign horses running with limited info available?

They are probably the Timeform UK figures.

kevb
03-26-2015, 11:47 PM
Surprisingly few missing speed figures. They have numbers for Uraguay, Singapore JPN, AUS, UAE, SAF, Hong Kong, KSA (took a while to figure that one out as Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Dubai and of course GB, GER, IRE USA. But sometimes the numbers only go back two or three races for Hong Kong, and JPN. I have to assume that the figures for some countries are to be taken with a grain of salt. Still I like it better than weight post position and finish position.

Some_One
03-26-2015, 11:50 PM
TimeformUK doesn't have great coverage for HK and Jpn I believe, probably just the major days like Japan Cup and LHKIR

Try the R&S sports link I posted, I can't really attest to the accuracy of their figures, but it's better then nothing.

The speed maps are good, just can be spotty for minor tracks, punters.com.au usually has speed maps for all meetings, however I've haven't been as happy with them.

The movers and shakers in the UK markets for Dubai races are as follows:

R5 Al Quoz Sprint - it's a wide open affair

:14: Distinctive Passion - has received some significant support today,
as he had been easy to bet at over 30-1 all week. Now into 20-1.
UK money generally won't show for a US horse. Interesting.

:12: Caspian Prince moved in to 15-1 from 20-1+ a couple of days ago.
Has not moved since, but someone sought some value.

:16: Penophobia - has been a solid favorite all week around 9-2.

R6 Golden Shaheen

Some telltale market moves here. Mostly involving Secret Circle.

:7: Secret Circle has no friends in the betting. He had been a solid
favorite all week at around 5-2, but has now drifted out to 4-1.

:4: Rich Tapestry is pretty easy to bet at 5-1 - no major support.

:5: Salutos Amigos has been heavily bet into 4-1 from 5-1.

:6: Big Macher has been nibbled at @ 15-1, now 12-1.

R7 Dubai Turf

:6: The Grey Gatsby has been hammered today. Solid 5-2 from 7-2.

:3: Mshawish has drifted from 7-1 early in the week, out to 12-1.

:10: Solow - popular into 2-1 on Thursday, now back out to 5-2.

R8 Sheema Classic

:5: Main Sequence does not have much support here - out to 6-1.

R9 World Cup

:2: Hokko Tarumae has seen some action today - down to 9-1

:9: California Chrome has eased slightly out to 9-5

Good luck to all!

How does anyone justify even money on this horse? Just on history alone.

Now you throw in a trip halfway around the world...the heat...the surface...it's just mind boggling that people bet this horse this hard after all things considered...

That's why this game is still such a good one...despite the takeouts...despite all the other garbage...

1. Good horses win Grade 1 races

2. Very good horses win multiple Grade 1 races

3. Great horses win multiple Grade 1 races and even win when they face severe ground loss, run against a bias, run against the pace flow, their major opposition gets a favorable scenario etc...

IMO, California Chrome is a very good horse. There is no shame in not being a great horse. There are very few great horses.

I agree, at some point everyone has to accept that lots of horses hit the board in Graded races, but noone calls them a freak or an all time great.

He was a 3YO who got hot at the right time, and probably caught a weak field in Maryland.

Bad thing is IMO he is still good enough to win big races if they would handle him better.

Coming back in Penn Derby off that layoff? Shutting him down for 3 months again, then bringing him back to face SB who was in full stride? Sitting him out again to wait for Dubai?

Clearly the horse was on his way back and took a step forward in the classic, since then, they have run him on grass, sat him, ran him against the best horse in the world off a layoff and then sent him to Dubai.

He is totally done now, I love Art Sherman to death but getting a horse back from Dubai and running back to their prior form is hard even for the Baffert's and Mott's of the world.

California Chrome is not a "super horse".
Shared Belief has the makings of one.

This was still a good move by CC's connections, though.
What did he get for second? A couple million dollars?
Plus, I bet they got a good chunk of change for just showing up.

Smart move - got beaten by a better horse on the day.
The home team is always hard to beat.

Here's hoping that CC bounces back quickly after the journey home.
Anything less could be the only downside to this trip.

I picked CC to win the DWC because I thought he would run back to his BC performance, but he didn't.

Also excuses of his going wide will not help his case; CC is a good horse and his connections should be happy because they caught "lighting in the botrle" with a modest bred horse and a year (2014) when the stars lined up right for them.

However I don't see 2015 being as favorable to CC because I believe the competition will be lot more tougher than last year.

Having said that , I applaud CC''s connection for taking him to Dubai because if the purse breakage is the same as it is in NA they picked up a cool $2M which should make the trip to Dubai well worth it.

Prince Bishop certainly looked all the horse today,he's really getting better with age.
That's 3 of the last 4 years for the Sheikh and Godolphin,I would say a home court advantage is starting to appear in the desert.
Perhaps we will see Prince Bishop @ Keenland in the Breeders Cup Classic(the Distance/Surface appear to be right up his alley).
California Chrome turned in his usual big race, nice little 2 million dollar payday for the reigning Horse of the Year.
It looks like the owners had it right all along,CC can compete with the best horses in the world anytime/anyplace.
CC is everything that a HOY/Champion should be,he races anywhere on the planet taking on all comers.......always runs huge, never ducking anybody.
The beauty of CC is he's been in training for over two years straight and shows no signs of slowing down.
He's a warrior that never tails off.
I have seen no indication that CC is any the worse for wear due to his grueling schedule.
And don't forget, today he ran giant without Lasix......don't think the breeders throughout the world didn't notice that.
