He probably wrote it so there would be lots of hits to the writers webpage. Also lots of people would post the link so people like me (I did) would read it. If it was about Curry, Harden, or Westbrook the interest in it would be minimal at best.

The one criteria I like to use is who would be the first guard selected by myself if I was starting a team.

That would be Westbrook if I could be guaranteed that he will play at least 72 games. My biggest concern would be that he's going to break down.

I take Curry over Harden because he will pass the ball late in the game to find his open teammate for a better shot. Harden would just chuck it because he thinks (probably right) that he is the best player on the court no matter whose guarding him.

Now having said all that any of the four mentioned above would be a great way to start a team.

While it is difficult to say no per Chris Paul, if I had a vote it'll be for Stephen Curry.

Hi SRU,

I've mentioned my admiration for CP3 a few times here, but, as I think you know, he's not a plausible candidate for MVP, which is usually the highest scorer on the best team or the league-leading scorer on a very good team - few exceptions to this. Using past models Curry is the most likely candidate for the award this year, with Harden, a close second. Although Westbrook and Paul are close in the odds and public support, they only have about an 8% chance of winning.

If you look at the metastat of WS 48, for the last number of years CP3 is alone with LBJ and KD as players occupying a level of performance that has been achieved by the best who have ever played the game.
