The lowest exacta was the THIRD choice on top of the 2nd choice. (and of course, it came in).

Winner paid 7.80 to win, the favorite was not 2nd and the exacta paid 11.00 for 2 bucks.

good pick up

You rarely see an exacta that's the most bet combination not involving the heavy favorite. It wasn't like the 3 most bet horses were all co 8-5 shots, the 6 with Bejarano was a decided favorite.

Good observation of how close the top 3 choices were in the exacta pool compared to the win odds where the #6 was a heavy favorite.

Doubles will pays did line up with the win odds with the #6 as the heavy favorite in the first leg followed by the #1, followed by the #4. A #6 -#4 double would have paid $21 while the #4 - #4 did pay $34. Double pool was a little less than half of the exacta pool.

The 6 was a phony. Bet hard early for some reason

i bet the superfecta in race 5 today, mainly because i loved the winner and hated the favorite. so i bet a super key, 3/4-6-7-8=$24 ticket. i don't think i could have asked to much more for the result, i only played $1 ticket and all i got was 9-1 for my money. the exacta alone was 20-1 on a cold punch. to me the payoff sucked and i won't play those things ever again. i don't know what is so great about turning a 3-1 into a 9-1 and need 3 other horses to collect. sticking to the win ticket is much better

If you bet the same $24 on the winner you get back $50.
If you take your super ticket and make it $24 in exacta tickets you get $6 on each combination so you get back $140.
Your super, for the same investment, comes back $247.

Seriously, you would rather have had the winner only?

Seriously, you would rather have had the winner only?it comes down to how many times do you have the winner but not the numbers underneath that winner using 4 other horse out of the 9 remaining. i don't get the underneath part that often.

i had also played the pick 4 with that same race yesterday. i had 2 singles that won, a winner using 2 horses in another race, and lost the pick 4 using 6 horses out of the 9 and not playing the favorite at all. a $40 horse won that i didn't come up with.
