How can you calculate a Max bet on a HorseRacing Pool ?

I see on Twin Spires its $2500.00 and $500 on Exotics.

What about other sites ?

What if you put $2500 on each site ?

There are 7 OTB online books to choose from.

Are they all on the same pool ?

I see from offshore casinos like Betus and others, I found a guide stating that its around $250 for the big races like the Acqueduct and $50 for the little ones like Fonner Park.

Where does the line Draw where one starts to affect the odds ?

You can't bet Fonner Park in any pool outside of Nebraska.

State law.

Try all you want but the (NW) sticker on Fonner Park in Grand Island, NE means Non-Wagerable for anybody outside of Nebraska. I live in Nebraska, and can't make a wager from home at Fonner Park. I have to be at the track to make a wager.

HDW can make picks and selections all they want. They can't make a wager on a horse race held in Nebraska outside of the state borders.

Yes. Beyond stupid. I know.

If you are making a wager on Fonner Park outside of Nebraska, you are doing it illegally.

I am not aware of any 'max bet' for ADWs. They will let you bet as much as you have in your account. if your bet causes a negative pool, what they do with you is site specific. You may want to call the customer service at each site you are interested in to confirm. You may have to re-bet a few times on some wagering platforms.

If you understand parimutual wagering, you would realize you are betting against yourself and lowering your pay-off (unless that is what you want to do for some other reason).

there was a program posted on this forum by CJ a while back that will allow you to see how much you can bet without lowering the payout on your horse. I have seen a bet that is only 1-2% of the pool lower the payout.

I had understood this to mean that you could not bet Fonner Park on TwinSpires or other ADWs if you lived in the state of Nebraska, but you could bet Fonner Park if you lived out of state in a state that permits it.

Perhaps I had misunderstood it.

It would be a whole lot simpler if we could bet on any track from anywhere.
"Sorry sir, you can't purchase AAPL stock in the state of Nebraska." Can you imagine?

This is likely the case as Fonner would discourage off-track wagering within their own state to encourage on-track attendance, plus they would get a higher percentage of the on-track wager instead of sharing with the ADW.

that is a racebook - that money does not go into the parimutual pool
if you win, you are taking money from them

with parimutual, the more you bet, the more they make and it does not matter who wins (unless you cause a negative pool)

I can wager FON with my ADW. Very healthy rebate, too. Maybe the biggest available.

I use .005 x pool size @ 0 MTP to calculate maximum win bet.
