Always be wary when Obama says we need to transform the way we think about something. For some reason transforming the way we think about something always means federal control. His next target is the local police.

“We have a great opportunity… to really transform how we think about community law enforcement relations,” he said Monday.

“We need to seize that opportunity… this is something that I’m going to stay very focused on in the months to come,” Obama said, as he touted a new interim report from his Task Force on 21st Century Policing.

What could go wrong? Who better to transform community law enforcement than a community organizer?

He is always being misunderstood.

Like the phrase ' an Exchange established by the State ' in 0bamacare. Even a dembot realizes that means Obamacare is ran by the socialist/communist state - not those individual 57 states.

Troll Town could use some police, that's for sure

How dare the president appoint a task force to investigate issues and improvements in policing? How dare that task force announce its findings?

"National Police Force"

Glad to see we agree on that. If the Constitution allowed federal oversight of local police, that authority would belong to the Congress, not to the president.

Did no one pay attention to the 1930's?

Perhaps his time might be better spent coming up with a plan to combat illegal alien traffickers.

Scary "brown shirt" talk, imo...

And maybe Sharpton and Obama can get together and try to implement teaching the basics of right and wrong to the youth of America. Maybe it can be a required course in school. But heck, its easier to correct tragedies after they happen so forget that idea.

So, why, again, do some of you want to federalize the regulation and oversight of horse racing?

Just another of Obama's many horrible ideas. In past times I'd say there would be a snowballs chance in hell of it coming about, but with a lapdog media, spineless opposition and an ever expanding class of ignorant sheeple on the government dole, anything is possible.

I can only laugh when I see the words "best practices" used in describing what federalizing can bring to the table. Only a fool would believe that, it's another attempt to seize power.

As I have said, no foreign enemy has been as effective as Obama at undermining this country. Of course that has always been his plan, to take over the country from within.

Under a national industry organization, perhaps. Certainly not under the federal government. They would have to raise the take out by 10% to support the bureaucracy.
