Interesting piece, anyone use twitter info for handicapping?

The amount of online information available in today's game as compared to the last century,
makes the possibilty of turning a profit much much harder.

"Billy Davis Jr. has posted 9,500 tweets, which unofficially makes
him the Tweet King of the harness racing industry."

Thing is it's mostly standard bullshit to please the owners or whatever. Check this out:
What do you think of your horse you are driving in the 5th?
Oh he is a nice horse with some talent, Had a few problems last week but if I can get a good trip tonight I think he will do much better"

That sounds great except that 90% of all drivers can say that about 90% of all horses !!!!! :D

Tweets like these can be very helpful to a handicapper.

"Race 11 Trks Metro Specs(7-2) threw a shoe last week just after the start.

In the program itself the line appears as as BE.

When I spot a tweet like this, I look at the line previous to that and go on from there.

If you are looking for winners, forget it. If you are looking for INFORMATION to insert into your already solid handicapping, these twitter accounts are for you. You don't need to "get the winner" if the driver is telling you "taking him off the gate this week" or "leaving the gate this week" things like this help a lot in the process.

Gingras is by the far the most insightful in his tweets. He seems to be pretty forthcoming with his opinion on the horse.
