anyone that just looks at pp's and speed numbers would have played OLD MOUNTAIN LANE. his prior 2 races in Gulfstream he ran second to eventual winner of the Fountain of Youth and the potential favorite to the Risen Star.
but had you watched the prior replays, there is no way in life you would have plunked your money down on that guy at 3/5. the rider was all over the horse whipping and driving trying to keep up with the other horses. while the winner's of both races in Gulfstream turned out good, the rest of the field turned out to be a bunch of bums.
if you had watched TVG this afternoon, the afternoon handicapper got involved with a pick 4 ticket on the air. he had made OLD MOUNTAIN LANE a single and went in with an all ticket the very next race.
