Actually, I was surprised at what my calculations were telling me about Itsaknockout from his mile on Jan. 24th. These were Bayern kinds of numbers, which are quite rare from a horse this age.

Normally after putting up those kinds of numbers, a horse doesn't come back as game. Not so with this one.

If I had to bet the Derby tomorrow, I would bet Itsaknockout. He's the only one that impressed me so far this TC campaign.

BTW: The judges got it right in the Fountain of Youth.

Itsaknockout, in my eyes, checks all of the boxes for what kind of horse it takes to win the Kentucky Derby. And he's only raced three times.

yes indeed. He was the value in the FOY.

He has definitely proven that he can run into the teeth of a grueling stamina test and outfinish most others. A bit under the radar at this point. I don't have him on the top of the list (I can't separate some of these), but he's in the Grade 1 group.
