Buffalo Raceway Saturday Picks and Post Change

Once again, Buffalo Raceway will have a special 2:30 p.m. (EDT) post time Saturday. Get the picks for the solid program at http://briansbuffaloracewayselections.blogspot.com The track will resume normal post times starting Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Watched this race, and found it highly suspicious.

Gray has the rail and is the favorite.

He gets away third, but apparently that was too good a position. So, he lets the 5, the eventual winner, tuck in. At the half, he should've pulled first over but gets blind switched by the 8. Luckily there was no one behind the 8, so Gray gets out and is second over. Apparently, that was too good as well, and he gets blind switched again, this time by the 7.

He ends up four wide at the top of the stretch, and closes strongly to finish 2nd by a head, easily passing the 7 horse who had just blind switched him.

I cannot recall ever seeing a 1/2 mile track harness race in which the 1 horse got blind switched by both the 7 and the 8. Very shady.

Looked to me as though the horse was gapped early, and ended up second-over behind a surprisingly live 37-1 shot, closing into a slackening pace. He was still gapping a bit down the backstretch, though by the time the 7 got abreast of him, it looked he finally caught up with his cover. I'd be more inclined to suspect funny business if the board went haywire and the exotics came back notably short... doesn't seem that they did.
