Sorry to hear of his passing.

Saw a good Charlie Rose segment years ago with Simon and he talked about his capture in the first Gulf War.

I felt Bob Simon was the consummate journalist. Loved his reports on 60 Minutes. Have watched for many years.

Rest now, Bob. That little 3 year old grandson of your's is dear. He will miss you most of all. <3

When I heard where the accident took place, I strongly suspected this to be the case. Cars there aren't traveling at very high speeds.
