Arkansas derby suggestions

Hello all. Thinking about making my first trip to hot springs and the Arkansas derby. Hotels are a bit pricey in hot springs so thinking little rock would work then drive to hot springs. Thought I'd ask here to see what my options are and what others have to say as far as options. Thanks.

I've used VRBO.com to find places to stay in Hot Springs. All ranging from 1 bedroom condos to a 6 bedroom lake home. There are lots of condos on that site and you can usually find something that works for the same as or less than a hotel room especially if you are traveling with someone and can split the cost.

Stayed at Embassy Suites next to the convention center. Modern, clean, affordable and spacious.
