Her horses have now hit the board in 10 out of 15 Maiden Sprint races at Aqueduct since December.

If you wagered $2 to win, place and show it would have cost you $90 and you would have won $124.90 which is a profit of $34.90 giving you a 38% return on your money.

I have noticed that she has stopped entering multiple horses in the same race and is now just using a single entry for each race and she has been more successful with this approach.

I will be watching her in this situation for the rest of the season!!

She has a Maiden entered for tomorrow in the 1st race at Aqueduct
#7 Not Tonight Berta

Let's see what happens!!

I bet my LIFE that Rice's horse will NOT hit the board tomorrow in the first. I will bet you 50,000,000 to your penny.

Why? Because AQU cancelled for tomorrow

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Hey EMD

Thanks for that will just have to wait until Aqueduct opens up again as New York took a beat down from old man winter!!

It wasn't so bad. I'm in Queens and it was not what was purported to be. Thankfully. Maybe they will run Thursday.

Interesting to note, that L Rice's Maidens in Sprint races on the wet surface at Aqueduct have hit the board 9 straight times since April of 2014.

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice maidens wetstrk.jpg

The show parlay is up to $198.35 but she has only had 1 winner during the streak!!

Let's see if she can extend this one as I'm sure there will be plenty of days for the wet surface due to the storms this winter !!

Since this post L Rice's Maidens have now hit the board in 12 out of their last 17 attempts. Although her last 2 Maidens were heavily bet.

She has 3 Maidens scheduled for Thursday.

Let's see how they do if the weather permits racing on Thursday!!!

A little extra for you...

...ran with lasix before winning race ( no 1st lasix)
...worked out before winning race

Hey Mikesal,

That is a terrific idea, I never thought to include the drug medication with the outcome of the races.

I will have to find a way to bring lasix into the result sets.

The workouts will be a bit tricky but that is another interesting angle that I also did not think about.

Thanks so much for the input!!

I missed these 2 today:
#7 Unrepenting
#2 Uncle Duncan

Since the last post her horses have now hit the board in 14 out of their last 19 Maiden Sprint races. #7 Unrepenting won and
#2 Uncle Duncan finished 2nd today.

If you had wagered $2 to win, place and show on her horses in Maiden Sprint races since December it would have cost you $114 and you would have won $172.40 which is a profit of $58.40 giving you a 51% return so far on your money!!

Her Maidens in Sprint races have now hit the board 8 straight times including 4 wins !!

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice maiden sprintsfeb.jpg

Interesting to note though the show parlay since Januay 3rd has only gotten to $26.65 for the 8 races that her horses have been in the money!!

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice maiden spr shwprl.jpg

She doesn't have any Maiden Sprinters until Sunday February 8th
1st race
Private Thrill

Let's see what happens this Sunday !!!

2015 has been a different tactic for her so far..
last year she was better in higher class races
MSW ans M Clm were not her cup of tea last year..

Ride it as long as it goes...:)

L Rice extended her streak today of 9 in a row hitting the board in Maiden Sprint races at Aqueduct as #4 Private Thrill not only hit the board but won in the 1st race today at Aqueduct.

However, he was the overwhelming favorite today so the show parlay only got to $27.95

Interesting to note that she also has another streak of 11 in a row hitting the board in Maiden races in all Distances at Aqueduct since January 3rd she also has 8 wins during this streak!!

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice maiden streakprlyelvn.jpg

She has been doing quite well since she started to have single entries per race instead of multiple entries in one race!!

She has a place parlay going since January 9th which is much more lucrative than the show parlay since her horses are bet so heavily the place parlay is at $188.05 since January 9th !!!

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice maiden streakplyplc.jpg

She has the following this coming Wednesday at Aqueduct
1st race
Dangerous Cowboy

Let's see what happens!!!

Dangerous Cowboy and Point Hope were both off the board last week.

Since this post L Rice's Maidens have been 0 for their last 2 hitting the board which snapped a streak of 9 in a row in Sprints and 11 in a row regardless of the Distance.

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice maiden strksnap.jpg

Now I am afraid that she might go back to putting multiple entries in one race for her Maiden races and really mess up her Return On Investment stats in this situation!!!

She has these entered on Sunday and both Distances are at 1 Mile
Race 1
#2 Richie's Rich

Race 4
#8 Smart Cookie

Let's see what happens!!!

any further breakdown on Trainer-Jock stats for Linda?

Doesn't appear she is using Taylor that often.

Hey NY BRED

I am working on bringing in the Jockey info as well.

I was so busy looking at returns I didn't think to bring in the Jockey info.

That's a great angle !!!

Thanks for the input !!!

I have no intention on being rude to TheOracle , but I just have to say that your posts on trainers here are most likely just coincidences than some sort of pattern that your showing us. A horse or trainer doesn't win because of the track is sloppy or that a trainer is on a good run. If the horse is ready and/or the trainer puts a horse in a good spot...then it has a shot of winning.
More than likely before you realize it , the run is over unless its a pattern that the trainer is known for.

Back on July 25, 2013, Dave Schwarts did a video with John Barile on capping the trainers and their moves at Tampa Bay Downs. It was an excellent show and was very informative. If you want to be a serious trainer handicapper then you must watch this. I hope Dave doesn't mind this link.

37 minutes into this begins the talk with John.
This is John's category's on "trainer moves"

Aside from Zippity Zoom on Dec14, the betting public hasn't been all that surprised by results. Going by nothing but this thread, it would seem her entrants are looking the part for at least a slice.

Since this post L Rice's Maidens have been 0 for their last 4 attempts at hitting the board.

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice maidens janfeb.jpg

She's only giving you a 20% return overall since her horses have been 0 for their last 4 in this situation across the board going back to January 2nd of this year.

Interesting to note that of her 13 wins she has had 8 of them in Maiden races

Hey NY

This is what I have on the L Rice / T Rice trainer jockey combo for 2015.

http://www.insidethenumbers.net/images/comments/l rice taylor rice combo.jpg

It seems she hasn't used Taylor Rice since February 27th the combo has been good for just about an 18% Return on Investment for 2015 if you wagered $2 to win, place and show each time so you're just getting slightly more than your money back investing in these 2 so far for the year across the board.

It looks like she likes to use Taylor in Sprints particularly 6 furlong races.

I will be watching these 2 for the rest of the season at Aqueduct.
