What;s Most Frustrating to a Handicapper?

1) Losing a 30-1 shot at the wire
2) Losing your pick 3 on the final leg when you have 4 horses in the race
3) Watching your bomb horse cruise after you talked yourself out of betting him
4) Watching your jockey play games with your horse (and money) and finish up the track
5) Missing a huge trifecta because you were too cheap to throw another 2 horses in the 3rd slot.

#6, Watching two consecutive 9-1 horses come in while the tote machines are down.

I would say #2 only with a pick 4.

I once had the picks for the whole pot a LRL and got caught in traffic on the way to the track. a 30-1 and a 12-1 came in ..
I got to the track and they were loading in the gate.
Paid $28.000.

Last year I threw out a final horse in a P6 and it won for $30. If I didn't throw it out I woulda swept the pool for almost $200K.

The most frustrating thing to me is watching the odds on my horse melt down while running and even while walking to the winners circle.

Second most frustrating thing is hearing the announcement "Hold all your tote tickets, there has been an objection".

The horses are turning for home, one of your three in the exacta box is holding on to a slim lead, two you don't have are pressing and your other two are making big runs.......then UBet freezes up, no audio, just a still shot, then after a few seconds, it starts back up, you see all the horses trotting out past the finish line, no idea what happened.

My most frustrating thing at that track is when I hate a favorite, bet enthusiastically against him, and then he gets vet scratched at the gate and everyone's odds drop when its too late to do anything! This happens more often than it seems it should.

Another great one is when I box an exacta and watch my 2 horses beat the crap out of each other on the front end.. I love when you can turn the channel right after you watch your 2 horses go 21.1 to the quarter..
