Amazing story. The game needs more Nick Alexanders, kudos to him, not too many would have stepped up and did that.

believe it or not there are a lot of people in this business like Nick. It's too bad the bad eggs have to spoil the whole basket.

Great Story about a great guy and great horse.

Thoroughbreds love to run. That is why this is a great game. watching animals do what they love to do. I have adopted greyhounds over the years and as soon as we get near the lure course they start going nuts with excitement. These animals simply love to run.

Let's get rid of the juicers and claim game abusers and we will keep the game great.

I saw the article and wrote an email to the reporter complimenting her on writing a positive story on the sport.

Great minds think alike, thespaah. Exactly what I did, and also following her on Twitter. Got this reply back from her:

Michael and Sandra,

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you both enjoyed the story. I do plan on following Tough Sunday through the Derby and keeping the readers posted on his progress so keep an eye out for the follow up story.

Best Regards,

Courtney

Exactly. If a horse racing fan can't root for THIS horse, who CAN they root for?
