#8 Smooth Arrival

His arrival at MVR went smoothly, finishing a game 2nd. Gets cozy post.

#2 Forester’s Hope

Would have hoped that T D was aboard, but 5 year old in good form.

#5 Billie Skirts

Didn’t have her usual kick in last. Switches to top jock Stanley today.

2

#8 Pegasus Blue

Stanley jumps on here too. No match for Southern Valentine in last.

#3 Jamaican Me Hot

Can go a long way on the lead. Switches to Lumpy who can rate well.

#7 Sugah Sweet

Lots of 3rd place finishes in her career on real dirt for salty mare.

3

#9 Baba Booey

The theme of the day is “Stanley on” and “outside post”. No boo-hoos.

#8 Sonerford

Might wake up facing only Ohio breds. Trainer/jock have shocked here.

#4 Wild Bling

Not so wild about his 1st two tries at MVR. Neither were chalk guys.

4

#8 Sonny’s Memory

Showed little in Stakes race here 11-29. Back where he belongs.

#4 Force Multiplier

Cuts back to sprint has had solid tries routing vs. better. Bullet works.

#2 Judge Carr

Just missed at similar conditions going 5 ˝ furlongs. New trial today.

5

#2 Perfect Lil Demon

Tried open claimers in last. Drops to right condition and gets Paucar.

#4 Apple Walk

Finger Lakes invader can get a slice of the pie at big odds.

#3 Marvelous Maven

Ok debut at MVR on 12-09. Should be sharper today.

6

#4 Lonnie Bell

Over matched at the Mountain vs open allowance types. Rings the bell.

#9 Pommette

Solid effort off the bench vs. open claimers. In exacta 20 out of 45 races

#7 Devaney

In great form now. Should be logical favorite in a race that drew tough.

7

#7 Rush Delivery

Hunch pick for the Postman 3 days before Christmas.

#3 Classy Creature

Lightly raced 4 year old is one to catch. Has to hold off Rush down lane.

#4 Helen’s Trollie

Human connections are reason to get aboard. Years since last win.

8

#5 S S Victory

Ran too good to lose both tries at MVR. Sets sail to victory today.

#11 Weagle

Stanley & outside post. Broken record. Been working well for return.

#9 Classy Cruz

Classy young jock riding lights out. Believers still get nice price.

rrpic6,

What is with the constant missing of race fractions lately? Hard to take a place seriously when a brand new track doesn't have a reliable timing system.

C j:
Don't know for sure, but speculation is there is very little or no run up when the timer starts, hence the slow fractions and final times for every race this meet.

4 for 4 start. Every winner is from outside post. I guess people are catching on as each winner was bet down.

Right, but that isn't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the ones, and there have been several lately, where no fractions are given. This is ultra important for races at lower class levels IMO.

It would be good to know it is at least a concern of the management and being looked into.

PS...sorry I put this in the wrong thread, I searched for the Mahoning Valley thread and assumed this was it.

I'm supposed to have a meeting with Mark Loewe, V P of Racing, sometime over the Holidays. I'll voice your concerns. The whole place is a work in progress. A year ago today, the area was a vacant piece of land. I think of it as an expansion francise in a major sport. There are so many people that came from everywhere and nowhere and wound up at MVRC.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

When things like this happen it is best to own them, get out in front of them and get them fixed, not pretend like it never happened. Players notice, and if it isn't addressed, they will just go away.

Nice picks today :)
