according to an AP story he did not disclose an assault charge he was convicted of about three years ago.He plead guilty and was given a lesser sentence.Didn't disclose that on the form requesting a jockey license for Kentucky(and it was the question 'have you been charged or convicted of any crime in the last 10 years?).Didn't know three years was less than ten i guess.

If he had disclosed that, maybe he would of never got to ride in the Derby.

After reading his assault charge, I can't help but picture the Seabiscuit movie where he got drunk and tried to fight 3 guys..

I cannot help but remember last year when they made a big deal out of Santos and the phony battery! Somebody is just warning Elliot to make sure and lose the Belmont!!
Who is Visa spokesperson and $5 million saver Bailey riding this year?

That would be the biggest smack in the face since they let that sack of shit( P VAL) on the west coast ride

As Roseanne Rosseannadanna
would say

"Dan, It just goes to show you
Its always something "

I don't think they have the balls to prevent him from riding..they would be lynched by some Philly people

Sounds like a beating trifecta: a beer bottle (perhaps could Stuart have consumed a few that night/day?), a pool cue and a stool. We hear Philly crowds are rough; they even take their pool games seriously.

In the philly area, there is no fine line between wreckless and passionate.. They all melt together as one..

I went to a 49ers game when I was out in San Fran a few years ago and through the entire game I didn't see one fight in the stands.. it was so strange.

I used to live in Burlington County, NJ.

There are more flying pool cues up there than canoli.

If we drive up to Meadowlands from Delaware and don't get the finger at least 10 times, it's a very surprising day..

Another interesting Stewart Elliott item on today's Albany Law School site. Look at the second "bullet" down about a police blotter item printed in New Jersey's Asbury Park Press February 28, 2001 edition. The disposition of the arrest is not known.

Stew Ellliot is Binders rider. I hope he wins the "crown" and then hear the fellows response who before the derby said He was out of his element and might be intimidated.

Go smarty go.

Hi Shanta

The guy just blew a gasket !
We sure have seen worse in the "MAC" room
on level 2. I used to love having our table full of laptops
set up while chairs, bottles, cell phones and a few bodys
were flying by .
Anyway I sure hope Stew Elliot can stay focused and ride
Smarty to victory again at the Preakness

Maybe all of this is why the guy is just a working stiff at Philadelphia Park. Nobody cared until the guy got his big break in life. So now the warts come out. So what. We want to see a triple crown winner.

Does "we" include Lukas, Frankel, Bailey, and Visa?

Visa doesn't care...I'm sure the bonus is insured against...

The publicity will be priceless...

If Smarty Wins the triple crown that would bring his earnings up over 11 million. How many horses have earnings better than that to date? His earnings per start would be pretty awesome.
