So, when the four top teams in the ACC beat the 4th, 8th, 9th and 13th best teams in the SEC, with three of the four games being very close, and with the ACC teams having home field in three of the four-- this is the time to crow about the ACC?

How about those same ACC teams take on Alabama, Mississippi State, Missouri and Ole Miss on neutral fields, Andrea, and then get back to us?

Further proof that just because some people have pulpits doesn't mean they have much in the way of brains.

Any way you slice it, the SEC had a very bad weekend. As a whole, the SEC has had a down year.

I don't think the SEC has had a particularly down year. SEC East is nothing special at all but the SEC West is just so incredibly deep that nobody could get through it unscathed. There are five fairly strong squads in that division this season and even the two weakest teams (TAMU, Arkansas) are no slouches.

8-4 LSU lost to four SEC West rivals but beat Wisconsin (10-2) on a neutral field. 8-4 Auburn lost three times in the SEC West and at Georgia but won at Kansas St (9-2).

Ivan Maisel seems to agree with Andrea. (http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11964070/the-sec-no-longer-claim-best-conference-college-football?ex_cid=espnapi_public) It seems to be a meme.

I never bought into the Mississippi's all year. They had nice runs where they beat highly ranked division rivals, but maybe those teams shouldn't have been so highly ranked pre-season to begin with. A lot of punditry has been wasted throughout the season on how many SEC teams should be in the Final Four; it wouldn't bother me if the Mizzous beat Bama and they get nothing. And like it. :D
