This is not any different than what happened to a member of my family. She, a young hispanic female, was invited to the emperor's first inaugural ball. At one point she was away from her party and had found herself in another group having a discussion. When she tried to add to the conversation, she was shut down by a black women that told her they didn't want to hear anything from her since she was not black and what was she doing here anyways.
