Spot on? Yes, if one is attempting to construct an example of a fallacious "blame the victim" argument.
The young man's opening statement in which he acknowledges the horror of slavery followed by Jim crow apartheid the civil rights victory etc,omitting the heinous post civil rights "DARK ALLIANCE" which "coincidentally" coincided with the "war on drugs" and draconian sentences for drug crimes. sows the seeds for the logical destruction of all that follows.He dismisses all this intentional harm by inferring if one did not personally endure slavery or Jim crow apartheid there should be no residual effect upon you and your community which is of course absurd.He then proceeds to make valid observations about destructive and non productive behavior in the Black community.He cites "personal responsibility" which sounds great to those that would like to remove the immoral and non-ameliorated INTENTIONAL harm done from the chain of moral and causal responsibility.
