Hear the bathtub-drain sound when you look at the picture?

It comes with a resort AND hotel. How about a racing license and customer base? Oh well, wouldn't be able to dig up that extra $2,499,000 anyway.....

Come on people if everyone who posts on this board borrowed 50k on their home equity then Green Mountain could reopen. I'm sure that you folks could run a race track better than the management of most tracks today.

I'll make this short and sweet:

1) Tiegens was selling the track for 1Million about 2 yrs ago
2) Anchor Gaming once tried to buy the track approx 4 yrs ago and they ran them out of state because they mentioned the word alternative gaming - they even put a new track surface down at the same time
3) remember these backass people of Vermont won't even give this track a yr round simulcast license

I talked to Tiegens about buying the track but this state is so rituous anything other then bulldozing the place will be accepted by the locals.

Sorry to offend you Vermonters but you also had that jackass running for president!

Being sold "As is"
Hmmmmma fixer-upper.
Just what I need for my retirement fund.
Wonder if they have a pond for the whales?

Yeah, the "as-is" part is what held me back from placing a bid!
:D

I think the main problem is lack of potential patrons. Its in the middle of nowhere. What is the biggest city near it. My guess Bennington ??? 30 K population ???

I attended the dog races there once, many many years ago.

How about starting a massive mule racing operation? Including with mule relay racing?

I think they already do that for the picks I usually make :)
