I AM GOING TO BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GO TO THE PREAKNESS. WE WILL BE STAYING NEAR THE AIRPORT. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW FAR THE TRACK IS FROM THERE? I WAS THERE YEARS AGO, BUT CANT REMEMBER THE LOCATION OF PIMLICO. OLD AGE I GUESS

The track is probably about a 35 to 40 minute drive from the airport on a normal day. Leave early, and don't forget your bullet proof vest!

RECON: We are also staying near the airport. According to mapquest the distance from BWI Marriott to PRC is 12.73 miles. It could take 35/40 minutes but I find that hard to believe. However, I should not doubt the word of the man that saved me the embarrasment of asking for lutz potato chips.
