Travis, much congratulations on your, just announced, association with John Imbriale and all of NYRA's team this winter. A native NYer back home in NY. All the best!

Look forward to your calls. ;)

The only downside for him is that his office is fairly close to mine.

We're lucky to have him.

It was a pleasure listening to Travis today. I didn't recall him being this good. If it was my racetrack he'll be Durkin 's replacement instead of Imbriale 's helper.

I don't usually listen to announcers, and had missed Travis's race calls. But I heard him today because of this thread...and I thought he was GREAT! :ThmbUp:

He's polished no doubt...very professional...he should definitely have a long career in this sport...I predict he is calling NYRA full time one day...

I've always thought he has a definite bit of Dave Johnson in his tone of voice

You're RIGHT! I do hear a similarity to Dave. Keep expecting him to break his tone and SCREAM 'AND DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME' lol

Yes buddy

He was really cool :ThmbUp::ThmbUp:

I liked him repeating in the same race several times the term "OPENS UP"

If you really listened to Dave Johnson, you would KNOW that he actually did tone down ordinary races and saved that one for the feature or TV. Dave was a really good race caller at the Meadowlands.

Travis does a great job.

Didn't know Travis Stone was a member here. Kinda weird that he is the 3rd-stringer for NYRA :o
