he was boston mayer for 20 years and passed on today.
there were no flashy suits in this guys wardrobe, and he had a hard time speaking, he was a mumbler. but when it came to getting the job done, he was there.
he started city hotlines if something was wrong. in the last 20 years i must have had a bat sneak in my house 20 times, within 20 minutes there was someone there from the city to help me out. one time i had a tree that came down on top of my house during a snowstorm from the property next door, i called his office and got help right away. i've had other problems too and got plenty of help, they always called back to see if there was anything else that they could do.
i was having trouble with the planning board to get an approval for an addition to my house, they kept stalling me, i called him up and the next day i got my approval.
he made my life easier, and everyone in Boston will miss him
